About Me

I am a neonatologist at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor of Pediatrics. Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in educating and mentoring medical students and pediatric residents. Prior to joining Penn State Health, I was a faculty member at the University of Maryland and Geisinger Medical Center. I currently serve in the College of Medicine Admissions Office as an applicant screener, interviewer, and co-chair of the Admission Team. I am also the director of courses involving newborn care. I work with the Pediatric Residency Competency Committee and Pediatric Education Committee and chair the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Clinical Competency Committee. I also serve as a senator in the Penn State University Faculty Senate, faculty lead for the Necrotizing Enterocolitis Quality Improvement Team, and a member of the Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Quality Improvement Team and the Labor and Delivery Committee.

Previously, I was faculty ombudsperson and chair of the PedCARES team and the student advisor coach and society head for the College of Medicine Learning societies. My academic interests include newborn resuscitation, high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, pulmonary hypertension, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and medical coding and billing.
