About Me

I am the program director of the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship, medical director of neonatal extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and co-director of neonatal simulation at Penn State Health Children's Hospital. I am an associate professor of Pediatrics. My primary academic interests focus on the design and creation of educational curriculum and neonatal simulation. My passion is graduate medical education and creating a stimulating learning environment for residents and fellows.

My research focuses on the safety of neonatal intubation. As the site principal investigator for the multicenter NEAR4NEOS collaborative, I coordinate several research protocols, including an National Institutes of Health-funded project. I am active in national and international simulation societies, including the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, International Pediatric Simulation Society (IPSS), and the International Network for Simulation-based Pediatric Innovation, Research and Education and hold both committee and board of director appointments for IPSS.
