Timothy Riley, M.D., is originally from Syracuse, New York. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Richmond in Virginia and completed medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, where he took part in a rural medical education elective. Dr. Riley completed his residency at Lancaster General Hospital, where he received numerous awards in recognition of his research activities. Dr. Riley was in private practice for seven years, working with urban and underserved populations, during which time he led his practice in transformation into a patient-centered medical home. His areas of focus now include novel approaches to adult learning, motivational interviewing, health systems management, and resident and faculty evaluation. He serves as the coordinator for educational activities in the resident continuity clinics and leads the practice management curriculum.
