James S. Broadhurst
Mr. Broadhurst is Chairman of Eat'n Park Hospitality Group, Inc., a family restaurant chain consisting of 80 restaurants in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, and 86 non-commercial food service accounts in the company's Parkhurst Dining Services Division.
Mr. Broadhurst joined Eat'n Park as Executive Vice President and Treasurer in 1973 following a seven-year career with Pittsburgh National Bank in commercial banking. He was elected President of Eat'n Park Hospitality Group in 1975 and nine years later became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Broadhurst is a 1965 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and received the Alumni Fellow Award from Penn State's College of Health and Human Development in 1994. In 1997, he was named Distinguished Alumnus of Penn State. He received his Master's in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1966, and in 1994, he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Katz Graduate School of Business.
He is actively involved in his community, serving on numerous boards and committees including the Board of Directors of National City Corporation and National City Bank of Pennsylvania, the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce, Penn's Southwest Association, The Pittsburgh Foundation, Civic Light Opera, National Restaurant Association, and the United Way of Allegheny County.
Mr. Broadhurst is a Trustee Emeritus on the Penn State Board of Trustees.
He and his wife, Suzy, have long been champions for children's health through their personal philanthropy and that of their company, Eat'n Park Hospitality Group. They made a leadership commitment to help build the new Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital, and have been longtime partners in the fight to conquer childhood cancer through their support of Four Diamonds.
