Chief Quality Officer
Andrew S Resnick, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.S., joined Penn State Hershey Medical Center in April 2014 as the Chief Quality Officer (CQO) and Associate Professor of Surgery.
Dr. Resnick had previously served as the Chief Surgical Quality Officer at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. At Penn, he also served as Executive Director of the PENN Medicine Clinical Simulation Center, Chair of the Quality Committee for Peri-Operative Services, and was an Assistant Professor of Surgery.
Dr. Resnick graduated summa cum laude in biochemistry and molecular biology at Dartmouth College, earned his M.D. at Yale University School of Medicine, and his M.B.A. at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has been recognized with numerous quality and patient safety awards. He remains active with continued national leadership positions in many societies.
In his current role at Penn State Hershey, he leads efforts to enhance quality, safety and value by providing leadership, oversight, and support for activities related to clinical quality measurement and performance improvement while remaining clinically active as a surgeon.
