Eric Strucko

Associate Vice President for Finance and Business and Controller

Eric Strucko arrived at Milton S. Hershey  Medical Center in June 2015.

From 2007 to 2015, he served as the chief financial officer of the University of Virginia Physicians Group, the physician practice plan for the University of Virginia Health System. The organization includes more than 900 faculty-physicians and 400 allied health professionals and administrative staff, and produces more than $392 million in annual revenue as well as $16 million in direct academic support for the University of Virginia School of Medicine.

In his role as CFO, Mr. Strucko had administrative responsibility for finance, accounting, treasury, revenue cycle, facilities management and information technology functions for the Physicians Group. He also was asked to serve as the interim chief executive officer for the Physicians Group for six months in 2010.

From 1999-2007, Mr. Strucko was vice president and director of financial planning and analysis for CFA Institute, where he oversaw financial and corporate planning, budgeting, sales forecasting, pricing policy development, economic appraisals, investment and reserve policy and accounting.

Mr. Strucko's background also includes serving as both the director of budget and manager of financial planning and analysis for University of Virginia Medical Center, various roles as a financial analyst for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and two years as a budget specialist in President Clinton's Office of Management and Budget.

Mr. Strucko earned his bachelor's degree in political science and business administration from Vanderbilt University and holds several graduate degrees, including a master's of public administration from George Washington University, a master's of public policy from Georgetown University and a master's of public health from the University of Virginia. He is currently working to complete studies for his doctorate in health administration at Virginia Commonwealth University.
