The process for the establishment, reorganization, or discontinuation of a new academic department within Penn State University was established by the Faculty Senate in 1986.
The process for the extended review of all Academic Departments, Institutes, and Centers within the College of Medicine every 5 years is based on Penn State Policy AD 14.
