The Leukemia and Lymphoma Team meets monthly to discuss research and operational issues.  A multidisciplinary group also meets weekly to discuss new cases of leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.  This is attended by radiologists, hematopathologists, and clinical hematologists/oncologists.

Clinical research includes ongoing investigator-initiated studies in non-ablative allogeneic transplantation for hematological malignancies, and protocols in therapy of relapsing leukemias and lymphomas.  Investigators in attendance include clinical investigators, hematopathologists, and basic scientists as indicated.  NIH funded studies in treatment of large granular lymphocytic leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome also underway.

Translational research in hematological malignancies include laboratory and translational studies of immunotherapy for leukemias, and developmental therapeutics including agents directed at sphingolipid metabolism.

Basic science:  Basic studies in the biology of large granular lymphocytic leukemia are led by Dr. Loughran.
