Outpatient Services

Primary Child Life services are provided in Pediatric Surgery and Hematology/Oncology outpatient clinics with extended services to other pediatric specialties by staff or family request.

Services Include:

• Preparation for procedures, surgery, tests, hospitalization
• Accompany to procedures to provide reassurance and explanation
• Assist in planning coping strategies
• Individualized patient tours
• Provide activities to minimize anxiety and reduce stress of medical environment
