The curriculum is based upon the Residency Review Committee guidelines and the principles of a combined residency as set forth by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Residents rotate monthly from each service Every four months they change from medicine to pediatrics (or vice-versa). PGY-1 residents have intern duties for 16 months because of this schedule (though they are paid as a PGY-2 after 12 months.
