Naso Oral Respiratory Interface (NORI) System

Neonatologist Charles Palmer, M.B., Ch.B., is working with Respironics Inc. of Pittsburgh to develop this device, which offers a better, safer way of stabilizing tubes that enter the trachea or esophagus of newborn babies.

Commonly, such tubes are attached with adhesive tape that is unhygienic, unstable and can irritate the babies’ sensitive skin.
