Hershey Center for Applied Research

In April 2006, ground was broken for the new Hershey Center for Applied Research. The 80,000 square foot facility was constructed on land adjacent to the Medical Center and College of Medicine by a private firm. The Medical Center and College of Medicine are an “anchor tenant” in the privately-run center, with the Office of Technology Development and Department of Pharmacology occupying 30,000 square feet of this new building. The building opened in May 2007.
