Student housing renovations encompass the entire 248 units east of the Medical Center. The units are nearly 40 years old and have never been renovated. Renovations include the installation of new exteriors (siding, windows, roofing, and doors), more energy-efficient and modern mechanical systems (plumbing, HVAC, sprinkler systems), enhanced voice and data networking, and upgraded interiors (flooring, kitchen and bath redesign).

The housing renovations began in July 2005 and were completed in four six month phases on July 31, 2007.
