Using the Proteus and Geneus LIMS System for Sample Submission and Data Retrieval

Quick Links:

Instructions for obtaining a LIMS account:

Signing Up for a Proteus/Geneus LIMS LabLink Account (click here to download the instructions below)

NOTE: Proteus LabLink and Geneus LabLink are very similar, but they are SEPARATE LIMS systems - an account on one system does NOT allow you access to the other system:

  • Proteus serves the Mass Spec, Flow Cytometry, and Microscopy Imaging Cores
  • Geneus serves the Genomic Sciences and DNA Sequencing Cores

You must have TWO accounts, one for each system.

  1. Click to request a Proteus LabLink account  - For your username fill in your Penn State Access Account ID (e.g., bas12). External customers: before you can request a LabLink account you will need a Friends of Penn State ID, which you can apply for by following the "Create an Account" link and instructions at https://fps.psu.edu/
  2. a). For Proteus LabLink, log in at: https://proteuslablink.med.psu.edu/lablink

b). For Geneus LabLink, log in at: https://geneuslablink.med.psu.edu/lablink
