ACRIN 4008: Cardiac MRI after aortic valve replacement for severe aortic stenosis (IRB# 41941)

Description:

Adult participants scheduled to have aortic valve replacements (AVR) are needed for a Department of Radiology research study.

This study is conducted in conjunction with Penn State Hershey Heart and Vascular Institute researchers.

 

Eligibility:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • have severe symptomatic aortic stenosis
  • are planned for surgical or percutaneous aortic valve replacement (AVR) within eight (8) weeks after enrollment  

 

Additional Study Details:

Subjects will have a cardiac MRI within three (3) weeks prior to the AVR procedure and repeated approximately six (6) months after the aortic valve replacement (AVR) procedure.

Compensation is provided.
