Description:
Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center researchers are assessing the effect of a three-month trial of the medication Trazodone versus a three-month trial of cognitive behavioral therapy in patients with chronic insomnia.
Eligibility:
Who may participate?
Men and women age 30-60 who have had insomnia for at least one year.
Additional Study Details:
What is required?
- Spend three consecutive nights and one morning in the sleep lab prior to and after treatment
- Additional bi-weekly and monthly clinic visits are required during the treatment period
Compensation is provided.
