Cosmetic Services

We offer a range of services that help to address the appearance of facial aging while maintaining a natural look.   During an initial consultation, our dermatologist will listen to your concerns, examine your skin, and discuss with you treatment options as well as cost. Insurance plans unfortunately do not cover these cosmetic procedures. Depending upon your preference, you could choose to receive treatment on the initial visit or return at a later time after you've thought about it. Facial wrinkles (rhytides) are basically caused either by contraction of the muscles that control your facial expression or by loss of volume in certain areas of your face as part of the aging process. Treatments offered -

  • Topical prescription creams for fine lines and wrinkles,
  • Injection of botulinum toxin
  • Dermal fillers
  • Various laser treatments

Botulinum toxin is used to treat the facial wrinkles that result from muscle contraction. It is used to treat the wrinkles between the eyebrows and is often used on the forehead and the crow's feet area. Dermal fillers are used to treat wrinkles and creases caused by the loss of facial volume that occurs with aging. Fillers contain hyaluronic acid, which is a sugar molecule naturally found in the skin. They stimulate collagen formation in the skin and work well to fill in the lines around the nose and other areas of the face.
