Description:
The gastroenterology service will provide a busy and intensive clinical training ground with emphasis on the pathophysiological approach to the management of a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases.
Course Objectives:
Main topics and concepts covered during the elective are; peptic ulcer disease, gastrointestinal oncology, pancreatitis, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, obstructive jaundice.
Additional Information:
Course Specific Requirements: Attendance at three outpatient GI clinics weekly. Attendance at GI Conferences.
