Description:

The acting internship is offered to give students an in-depth experience in orthopaedics. During the one month, the student will spend two weeks on each of two primary orthopaedic services: adult reconstruction, pediatric orthopaedics, sports medicine, spine, or trauma. The student may choose which two services on which to participate. During the two weeks, the student will have the opportunity to participate in patient care in the clinic, operating room, and the in-patient services. Student responsibility is that of a junior house officer with appropriate supervision. The student will be responsible to round with his/her team and to attend daily orthopaedic teaching conferences with the housestaff.
