Why I Chose EM: It is the most versatile field in medicine, both intellectually and logistically. You learn about nearly every other field and can use your skills anywhere, anytime. There's a certain amount of awesomeness to that idea. I'd like to incorporate global health and public health into my career, as weill as sports or wilderness medicine. No other field allows for so many great opportunities! You also become a great mix of diagnostician and proceduralist, so you can do both thinking and doing!
