Ophthalmology Interest Group Activities

Students have the opportunity to hone their eye examination skills and interact with patients as well as faculty, residents, and technicians.  This year's visit to the Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg, PA will be on October 20, 2012.  Each year, approximately 40-50 residents of the mission are examined and provided with corrective lenses during the course of only one day.  Community outreach is an important aspect of a Penn State medical student's education.
