The Program Director of the GCRC at Penn State with the assistance of the Associate Program Directors, is responsible for the administrative oversight of the Main Center at Hershey Medical Center and the Satellite Center at University Park. This includes the quality of inpatient and outpatient medical care, nursing, core laboratory and nutrition staffs.

GCRC Advisory Committee (GAC)

The GCRC Advisory Committee (GAC) is appointed by the Dean and is responsible to the Dean. The GAC, along with the Program Director and Associate Program Directors, supervises and reviews the operations of the GCRC, its Core Laboratories, and Informatics Core; sets general policies; and delineates common needs of the GCRC investigators. The GAC also reviews and prioritizes projects based on scientific merit and GCRC utilization. Studies must have GAC approval prior to initiation.

Administrative Manager:  Rebecca Jenkins, MPA

The Administrative Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of GCRC administration, fiscal matters and records of all GCRC activities. The administrative manager is available to meet with investigators to discuss the use and resources of the GCRC and to assist with the application process.

Research Subject Advocate: Tom Lloyd, PhD

The Research Subject Advocate (RSA) of the GCRC assures that all steps are taken to maximize patient safety as detailed in the protocols approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
