The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology has extensive resources and attending physicians with specialized expertise for the care of patients with acute and chronic liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, motility and functional bowel disease, Women’s Health and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Active and successful clinical programs include liver transplantation including a living donor related program, novel therapies for pelvic floor dysfunction, and state-of-the-art endoscopy including Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery. The Division has had long-standing collaborations with our surgical colleagues including Colorectal Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Minimally Invasive Surgery and Gynecology. Through the Penn State College of Medicine, we offer educational programs for medical students, residents and Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellows in training and community physicians.
