Penn State Hershey General Internal Medicine is an exciting and dynamic place to build a career. We touch many aspects of the patient and student experience, research a broad range of scholarly areas and are poised for significant growth going forward.

Our division has over 60 faculty, mid-level providers and staff that serve many key functions at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

  • We care for over 2,300 inpatients and 30,000 outpatients each year.  Our faculty are actively engaged in quality improvement initiatives in all settings.
  • We are actively engaged in clinical research. We have 8 faculty who have current or previous funding from the NIH.
  • We are a key contributor to the teaching medical students and internal medicine residents.  Our faculty provide approximately one-third of all educational activities in the Department of Medicine.
