Medical Education in the Department of Medicine
Training the physicians of the future is a key mission of the Department of Medicine. Our faculty is responsible for teaching medical students across the broad spectrum of educational activities in Penn State College of Medicine, ranging from pre-clinical courses to clinical clerkships, acting internships and electives. The Internal Medicine Residency Training Program is the largest in the institution, and the Department offers fellowship training in ten medical subspecialties. Our faculty also hold significant educational administrative positions within the College of Medicine, including the Vice Dean for Medical Education Affairs and the Associate Dean for Professional Development.
We are quite proud of the educational activities and accomplishments of our faculty. Please browse our education web pages and feel free to contact us for further information on the Department's educational programs.
