Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center

The Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is a 501 bed tertiary care hospital that houses the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Neuroscience beds are all located on the same floor. We have a state of the art Neuroscience ICU and Intermediate Care Unit, a brand new Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and floor beds sharing contiguous space. The resident work space and call room are conveniently located on the same floor as the patient rooms.

Penn State Hershey - East Health Campus (30 Hope Drive)

This building, newly opened in 2008, is in the Medical Center’s East Campus. It houses the outpatient clinics for Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics as well as Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy. The Neurology faculty also have their academic offices here and there is resident work space in the Neurology office. This building is located a half a mile from the medical center. This clinic space houses the resident continuity clinic along with the MDA, ALS, MS, comprehensive movement disorder s, and memory and cognitive disorders clinics.

Lebanon VA Medical Center

Located in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, about a 40 minute drive from the hospital, the Lebanon VA Medical Center receives very high ratings amongst VA hospitals nationally for customer service. A patient centered approach is stressed. Importance is given to support of the resident staff educationally and administratively. Residents rotate through the Lebanon VA Medical Center for one month per year.

Penn State Hershey Rehabilitation Hospital

Presently, the hospital is hospital is operating in a temporary location in Harrisburg until construction of the new facility is completed. Construction of the new rehabilitation hospital is ongoing. The new hospital will house 44 adult beds and 10 pediatric patients. The new freestanding rehabilitation hospital will offer expanded facilities and greater ease-of-access, providing rehabilitation care for patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke, and orthopedic surgery.
