One way or another, all of today's advances in modern medicine have been developed through Clinical Research. Clinical Research has many forms; from studies that help us to understand the mechanism of disease to Randomized Control Trials that test the effectiveness of new therapies. Within the Neuroscience Institute, members of the Office of Patient Oriented Research support the conduct of Clinical Research for the Institute. The mission of the Office of Patient Oriented Research is to enhance, foster, and promote high-quality clinical research within the Neuroscience Institute. As members of an academic medical center, it is our responsibility to participate in research and to make new discoveries that advance the art and science of medicine for the benefit of our current and future patients, as well as future generations everywhere.
Penn State Hershey Medical Center is committed to providing world-class patient care with innovative therapies to treat disease, and to promote health and wellness, including the option for patient participation in clinical research.
