Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

The eighteen bed Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit provides medical, surgical, and specialized care to patients being diagnosed, receiving therapy, or undergoing stem cell transplantation.

Self-scheduling is available with a variety of shifts.  Nurses work with the scheduling committee, Nurse Manager and Clinical Head Nurses to develop schedules that meet personal and professional needs.

Our training and orientation consist of 16 weeks for new Graduate Nurses and 8-10 weeks for RNs, dependent upon prior experience.  Staff are paired with preceptors and oriented to a variety of shifts during their orientation.

Applicants must have a strong desire to care for children and their families.  Experience in Pediatric or Oncology nursing is desired, but not required.
