The Team Fellowship Program provides an opportunity for individuals (faculty and staff) from the College of Medicine and the Hershey Medical Center to become “ad hoc” members of one of the four campus teams. Fellows will learn about the campus teams, the collective work products of the teams, and the process of working in a true team model. Each Fellow is expected to complete a project in conjunction with participation on the team. Fellows must also commit to regular attendance at team meetings; maintain confidentiality (in appropriate situations); complete reading assignments on teams; complete a team-related project; and present the project to the relevant team and Teams Council in June.
Applications for the Program are usually due in mid-May for service in the next academic year (July-June). An announcement of the program and request for applications for each year will be distributed by the Office of Professional Development and posted on this website. Individuals interested in applying for a Team Fellowship must submit the following materials to: Luanne E. Thorndyke, MD, Associate Dean for Professional Development via email to dharris1@hmc.psu.edu.
- A completed application form indicating the applicant’s interest in participating in the program and the reasons for his/her desire to participate.
- A copy of a current resume or biosketch.
- A letter from the applicant’s immediate supervisor indicating support for the individual’s participation and a statement that the individual will be available during the necessary time periods is required.
