- Junior Faculty Development Program
A year-long program incorporating an intensive curriculum in professional development and a project conducted under the guidance of a senior faculty mentor.
- Mark J. Young International Health Policy Scholarship
The Mark J. Young International Health Policy Scholarship was established in memory of Mark Young, M.D., the first chair of the Department of Public Health Sciences at Penn State College of Medicine. Dr. Young was a champion for education and his community, both next door and around the world. Following this legacy, this scholarship provides support for faculty, fellows, residents, or medical students at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine to undertake study programs outside the United States.The scholarship may be used for study in two broad categories:- Attendance at international conferences, short courses, or workshops focused on international health care or international health policy.
- Participation in innovative, ongoing international health care or health policy projects.
The recipient is required to make a presentation about the experience to the campus community within three months of return.Please submit the attached application by April 1 to: tdanz@psu.edu. Please refer to the Mark J. Young Award page for additional award information.

Penn State Hershey Medical Center and College of Medicine are looking to nominate a women of excellence who meets the criteria listed below.
- Nominees must have worked for or volunteered with a charitable, civic or human services organization that serves the Capital Region for two years or longer.
- Honorees should support and promote the YWCA's vision and principles of economic empowerment and racial justice, courage in spirit and action, breaking barriers, leadership and self-determination, family values and community responsibility.
Awards have been given in the past to women who:
