The foundation of our program is built on our Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, a 129 bed facility with more than 6,000 admissions annually, and its adjacent outpatient health clinics where more than 60,000 children and adolescents are seen each year. Residents experience a remarkably diverse caseload at one of the largest medical campuses in the northeastern United States.
In addition to the Children’s Hospital, the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s 504-bed tertiary care facility serves the central Pennsylvania population of almost 2 million people The Medical Center boasts a level 1 trauma center complete with aeromedical transportation facilities, a custom-designed pediatric ambulance with specially trained transport teams, a network of community-based clinics, and a $85 million internationally acclaimed research program.
