Seventh Biennial Pediatric Research Day May 22, 2014, 12:00pm - 6:00pm Hershey Lodge, Hershey, PA

Presentations to highlight the latest in children's treatments & encourage caregiver collaborations

Pediatric Research Day is a biennial event that celebrates the promise of today's research becoming tomorrow's medical advances. The event also is an opportunity for researchers and caregivers at Penn State College of Medicine, other Penn State campuses and in the community to discover new applications for their work or to talk about potential areas for collaboration.

"We are the region's leading provider of medical care for children, and we continually seek innovations to improve the quality of care we deliver. By investing in research, we are able to discover better approaches to preventing and treating childhood diseases and to utilize today's most advanced therapies. By sharing our knowledge through forums such as Pediatric Research Day, we contribute to improving children's health everywhere," said Barbara Miller, M.D., Chief, Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, and Vice Chair for Research, Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.

Throughout the afternoon, researchers will present published and unpublished research related to the health and welfare of children and teenagers.

A lunch buffet will be provided followed by a Year in Review highlighting publications, podium talks and poster symposiums.  We look forward to a Key Note Lecture provided by Jennie G. Noll, PhD, Professor, Human Development and Family Studies, and Director of Research and Education, Network on Child Protection & Well-beingThe Pennsylvania State University
