Lab Interest:
Endocrine and metabolic physiology with an emphasis on hormonal and nutritional regulation of the translational control of gene expression; experimental model systems range from yeast to mammalian cell culture, isolated tissues, genetically modified animals, and humans, and the focus on human health ranges from metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity to physiological adaptations such as development, growth, exercise, and aging.
