Data and Dine

Data & Dine

"Data & Dine" is an annual event sponsored by the Office of Professional Development in conjunction with the Postdoctoral Steering Committee.

This event is an opportunity for postdoctoral fellows to showcase their research and interact with faculty in congenial surroundings at a local facility. Postdoctoral scholars and fellows have the opportunity to present posters describing their research. Faculty are invited to meet, interact and offer advice to the scholars and fellows.

The goals of Data & Dine are to:

• facilitate the exchange of scientific information
• stimulate collaborative efforts
• promote collegiality
• promote a network for opportunities and peer support
• facilitate professional development for beginning investigators

This event started in 2002 and has continued annually.

The 13th Annual Data & Dine will be held on February 24, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the University Conference Center.  In addition to poster presentations, the program included recognition of Postdoctoral Fellows or Scholars who had made significant accomplishments with the 2014-15 academic year.

We are excited to share this year that the monetary awards will increase, and will again be given to three outstanding postdoctoral fellows and scholars, and to the best posters presented, an increase from the one best poster awarded in previous years.

If you plan to attend, please email Mary Leone in the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (mleone1@hmc.psu.edu) by February 11, 2014.
