Fellowship Program

The goal of the fellowship program in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine is to prepare pulmonary and critical care specialists for medicine in the 21st Century with a three-year training program focusing on clinical knowledge, procedural expertise, and formal teaching skills.

The first year is devoted to core clinical training, the second and third year involves a more personalized scheduled of research and electives based on fellowship requirements and each individual fellow's learning goals. Progress is monitored with in-service examinations provided by the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and a self-assessment scale rating both a sense of competency and comfort in performing procedures.
