The Department of Purchasing and Contracting supports our institution by achieving the maximum quality, value and service for institutional dollars spent, in a framework of cooperation, compliance and ethical trade practices.

We are responsible for procurement and internal movement of supplies, equipment and services necessary for the operation of the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and the Penn State College of Medicine.

The Department of Purchasing and Contracting is a resource for identifying new products, processes and supply chain partners, resulting in cost savings for  healthcare and academic programs, medical research, and improved patient care.
