Abdominal Imaging Fellowship

PENN STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF MEDICINE – The Department of Radiology at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center (HMC) is currently recruiting a fellow for the following position for the academic year starting July 2013.

The rapidly growing Department of Radiology is all digital and state-of-the-art with Siemens CT (16, 40, 64 and 128 detector scanners) and Siemens MRI (Six total including two 3 T clinical magnet and three 1.5T magnets).  Penn State University College of Medicine is located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, which is 9 miles from the State Capital of Harrisburg. The campus is home to Penn State University’s 500-bed tertiary care academic health center.  Neurosciences and Cancer care are strategic priorities and there is a new, modern Cancer Center attached to the main building. A children’s hospital is being built with expected completion in late 2012. Other outpatient imaging facilities include East Campus (opened in 2008) and West Shore (opened 2010).

The Body Imaging Fellowship is designed to provide advanced training in all aspects of thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic imaging and image-guided biopsies/aspirations. It is one year duration with appointment as Instructor in Radiology at Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. You will have excellent opportunities for research and collegial, multidisciplinary interactions through tumor boards that require radiology participation.
