Below is a list of current electives offered to third and/or fourth year medical students at the University Park Regional Campus. Others are continuously being developed. If you are interested in a specific topic that is not listed here, please contact Denise Rill (crill@hmc.psu.edu).
- DERM 732: Dermatology
- 4 weeks (Y3/Y4); 5 credits; must have completed Medicine clerkship - EMED 756: Introduction to Emergency Medicine
- MED 723: Gastroenterology
- 4 weeks (Y3/Y4); 5 credits; must have completed Medicine clerkship - MED 722: Internal Medicine (Acting Internship)
- NSURG 750A: Neurosurgery
- 2 weeks (Y3); 2.5 credits; must have completed any 3rd year course which included direct patient care - ORTHO 797: Orthopaedics Special Topics
- 4 weeks (Y3/Y4); 5 credits; must have completed Surgery clerkship - SURG 771: Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
- 2 weeks (Y3); 2.5 credits; must have completed any 3rd course which included direct patient care - PCMED 748: Primary Care Sports Medicine
- 4 weeks (Y4); 5 credits; must have completed all 3rd year core clerkships - RAD 771: General Radiology
- RAD 774A: Radiation Oncology
- 2 weeks (Y3); 2.5 credits; must have completed first 2 years of medical school
