The University Park Regional Campus of Penn State College of Medicine is developing a Family Medicine Residency Program. The three-year program at Mount Nittany Medical Center is part of the hospital’s goal to become a regional academic teaching facility, preparing the next generation of family physicians.
In 1995, Penn State Hershey Family and Community Medicine expanded to State College from Hershey to serve the Penn State community. The new residency program will initially train six residents per year as family physicians in a community-based hospital setting in central Pennsylvania.
The mission of the University Park Regional Campus includes a focus on primary care and rural health.
