At Penn State Hershey, several competitive grant programs are offered annually. In general, these are intended to support short-term feasibility studies that will acquire the preliminary data needed for projects to compete successfully for external funding in future years. In addition, departments provide a variable range of support that may include start-up funding for new investigators, bridge funds for established investigators, and support for various other research resources. We help promote and administer several of the grant programs on behalf of their respective Sponsors.
