Current Residents and Fellows
The Office of Graduate Medical Education, in conjunction with the Vice Dean for Education Affairs, Dr. Terry Wolpaw, initiated a competitive funding opportunity for our residents and fellows directed at "Innovation in Graduate Medical Education Training." The goal of this initiative was to stimulate our physicians in training to recognize areas of quality, patient safety, and high value care that would benefit from an improvement process. These innovative projects are expected to advance various aspects of training in the respective programs – and potentially the training of those in other GME programs - align with institutional goals in these areas, and ultimately enhance the experience and the care that our patients receive at Penn State-Hershey.
We are proud to announce and to congratulate the recipients of this inaugural program, their projects in innovation, as well as the mentors and the Departments that the physicians in training represent. We are looking forward to the outcomes of these efforts and expect to continue and to provide support for similar initiatives in years to come.
Expect further updates on the progress of these programs during the spring forums in resident/fellow research in GME and educational innovation at EdVenture.
