We would like to welcome Rob Shotto, our newest member! He is a Lead Simulation Coordinator and will be full time in the center, effective immediately. His background is military simulation and nursing, and has worked on all the major manikin systems we currently have. Please take a moment to stop in and say hello! The faculty and staff involved in the Simulation Lab represent several departments and divisions. This interdisciplinary mix of people, all of whom share the goal of a change in the paradigm of medical education, is a main factor that drives the lab forward.
This multidepartmental collaboration was a significant factor in the recent approval of our application as an American College of Surgeons' Accredited Comprehensive Education Institute, Level 1.
