Noelle Maternal and Birthing Simulator
Noelle, from Gaumard Scientific, is a wireless, portable birthing simulator that is used for many aspects of perinatal care. Routine births and complications to both mother and neonate are possible, including infant shoulder dystocia and maternal hemorrhage.
There is a two-monitor system. The first display shows maternal vital signs; the second shows fetal monitor values and uterine contractions (all controlled by the wireless laptop computer). In addition, the system can be used with Newborn Hal, whose vital signs are interchangeable in real time with the fetal monitor display.
Examples of Noelle's features are chest rise, voice capability, hemorrhage module, and pulses in multiple locations. C-sections can be practiced as well, through the replaceable abdominal skin.
