Student Health Prescriptions

If a student needs a prescription refill call your pharmacy and have the pharmacist send the refill request directly to the Student Health Fax at 717 531-0129. This will help expedite your refills.

Students may have their prescriptions filled at any pharmacy.

The pharmacies below may offer students a more cost effective price if the prescription is written by a
Hershey Medical Center provider.

Acute Prescriptions:
• Can be filled in the outpatient pharmacy if written by a Penn State Hershey provider with no restrictions

 Chronic Prescriptions
• In order to fill chronic prescriptions, a student must have a registered visit in UPC, Hope Drive, or the hospital in the last rolling calendar year.
• If a student does not meet these criteria, he/she must schedule an appointment in the medication management clinic. Please call the pharmacy or nurse care line (717 531-6955) to schedule this appointment

University Park Pharmacy
Students are able to get prescriptions filled through University Park Pharmacy. They need a written prescription, and it can either be faxed or mailed. If the prescription is faxed it must be done by the Physician's office. Students also need to call the pharmacy and give their student account information and where to mail their prescription (there is a fee for mailing directly to your house) or they can have it delivered directly to their student mailbox (no extra cost). Students can charge prescriptions to their student account or bill it to their credit card.
