Our Providers

Angela Keller, Surgical Weight Loss Program Manager: Angela attended The Pennsylvania State University. She holds two degrees; one in Human Development and one in Letters, Arts and Sciences. She is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician. Angela is responsible for the coordination of the Surgical Weight Loss Program by serving as a liaison between the bariatric surgical practice and the hospital. She also provides clinical direction to patients in the program in order to ensure optimal bariatric patient outcomes and satisfaction. Angela has been with Penn State Hershey Medical Center since 2006, joining the team in December 2011.

Janelle McLeod, R.D., L.D.N.: Janelle attended the University of Delaware. She holds a bachelor of science in Human Resources with a double major in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics, a minor in Biology and a focus in fitness. Janelle completed her dietetic internship at Marywood University. As a registered and licensed dietitian, Janelle provides nutrition assessment, education and counseling to help patients achieve their long term weight loss goals through the incorporation of healthy eating habits and lifestyle change. Janelle has been a member of the team since January 2001.

Jackie Van Arsdale, R.D.: Jacklyn earned her bachelor of science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Messiah College and completed her dietetic internship training through the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. As a registered dietitian, she provides nutrition education and counseling to help patients develop healthy lifestyle habits and a balanced relationship with food. Jackie joined the team in July 2011.

Patricia Packer, L.P.N.: Patty graduated from Harrisburg-Steelton Highspire School of Practical Nursing in August 1977. She is a Certified Wound Care Associate (CWCA) and responsible to triage new patients to assess their BMI, current medical history, and medications. Some of her duties include scheduling consults for individual tests/labs requested by physicians and providing patient education to Surgical Weight Loss patients. She will triage pre and post op surgical patients to assess BMI and health history. Patty has been with the Penn State Hershey Medical Center since 2012, joining the team at that time.

Dawn Kleinfelter, Support Assistant: Dawn has been with the Penn State Hershey Medical Center since 1990 and has worked with the Penn State Hershey Surgical Weight Loss Program since 2003. As the insurance specialist, she is responsible for obtaining authorizations for patients' operations, as well as psychological service authorizations. She can assist patients as an intermediary with Patient Financial Services and provides numerous other invaluable administrative services.
