Executive in Residence
Being a faculty entrepreneur means having to wear a number of hats and facing many, often unfamiliar challenges during the early critical phase of your company. Typically, most early stage spin-out companies cannot afford a full-time executive member of the leadership team nor can many companies afford one. For this reason, the Executive-In Residence (EIR) program was created to provide support.
The typical profile of an executive in the EIR program is one with a proven track record, perhaps in semi-retirement, that can provide management advice, mentorship and consultation on an as-needed basis as your company develops. These EIR’s shall have the ability to work on-site or virtually, as the situation requires. EIRs provide valuable experience and guidance, typically without cost. To learn more about the EIR program and how to enroll, please contact the Office of Technology Development at (717) 531-8496 for further details.
