Executive in Residence
Being a faculty entrepreneur means having to wear a number of hats and facing many, often unfamiliar challenges during the early critical phase of your company. Typically, most early stage spin-out companies cannot afford a full-time executive member of the leadership team nor can many companies afford one. For this reason, the Executive-In Residence (EIR) program was created to provide support.
The typical profile of an executive in the EIR program is one with a proven track record, perhaps in semi-retirement, that can provide management advice, mentorship and consultation on an as-needed basis as your company develops. These EIR’s shall have the ability to work on-site or virtually, as the situation requires. EIRs provide valuable experience and guidance, typically without cost.
