University Fitness Center - Specialty Class - Kundalini (Yoga)

Kundalini "Gentle" Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is a style of yoga that is at least 5,000 years old.  B.J.'s gentle and practical teaching style focuses on developing the breath to release stress and rejuvenate the body, as well as moving at the pace and energy level that work for you.  While we are releasing stress, we are also improving flexibility, strength, and stamina - step by step.  Kundalini Yoga works to improve the function of many "systems" of the body; the nervous system, immune system, digestive system, circulatory system, and more.  A strong meditative component teaches us how to focus the mind on what we believe is important, and let go of things that are not so important, finding our inner strength and steadiness.
